Keeping Love Alive: Honoring Seniors & Embracing God’s Love This Valentine’s Day

Keeping Love Alive: Honoring Seniors & Embracing God’s Love This Valentine’s Day

A Message from Our CEO: Keeping Love Alive

Valentine’s Day is more than romance—it’s a reminder of selfless, enduring love rooted in faith. As we celebrate, let’s reflect on God’s unfailing love and share it with those who need it most—our seniors.

Many elderly individuals long for connection. This Valentine’s Day, let’s keep love alive through simple acts of kindness—a visit, a note, or a heartfelt conversation.

Love is more than words; it’s a choice to serve and uplift. Together, let’s remind our seniors they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

2025: A New Year, A New Challenge

Every Child a Swimmer honored as a Diamond Sponsor of RED Gala

FORT LAUDERDALE – Team Horner is leading the charge to support South Florida’s aging community with a diamond sponsorship of Heart2Heart’s RED Gala.

“We are so grateful for Team Horner’s support,” said Heart2Heart Community Relations Director Riana Samaroo. “Heart2Heart exists to mobilize volunteers and bring hope to those battling isolation and loneliness. We cannot fulfill our mission without partners like Team Horner.”

What is the Value of a Volunteer?

What is the Value of a Volunteer?

As the leader of a nonprofit, I’m constantly advocating for the value of our volunteers. When we write grants or I explain what we do to a new donor or community partner, I am answering that one underlying question. What intrinsic value do our Heart2Heart volunteers...

Don’t underestimate seniors and technology

Don’t underestimate seniors and technology

For this month’s theme, which I’m calling “Back to the Future,” we’re going to be discussing seniors and technology. The more and more we advance, the more we’re moving towards everything digital. So navigating technology is an important subject for our seniors. I...

How do we balance health and self-determination as we age?

How do we balance health and self-determination as we age?

At Heart2Heart, we believe people retain the right to self-determination even as they age. Self-determination is important, even if a person decides to go against the best health recommendations. In elementary school, perhaps you had a teacher who showed you a picture...
