FORT LAUDERDALE – Team Horner is leading the charge to support South Florida’s aging community with a diamond sponsorship of Heart2Heart’s RED Gala.

Team Horner’s $15,000 donation is the largest sponsorship Heart2Heart has received from any single entity in support of its annual fundraising gala.

“We are so grateful for Team Horner’s support,” said Heart2Heart Community Relations Director Riana Samaroo. “Heart2Heart exists to mobilize volunteers and bring hope to those battling isolation and loneliness. We cannot fulfill our mission without partners like Team Horner.”

Team Horner has partnered with Heart2Heart for the last three years, but the diamond sponsorship is their largest donation to date.

“It is a great privilege to be supporters of Heart2Heart Outreach,” said Dr. Bill Kent, CEO of Team Horner. “We are so pleased to see how the organization has grown and prospered.”

This year, Heart2Heart has a goal of raising $99,600 through its annual gala on Nov. 11. Last year’s gala, despite the pandemic, raised $93,000 through ticket sales, sponsorships and auction sales.

“The future is bright for Heart2Heart to continue providing hope, sharing love and restoring purpose to many of the elderly in our community,” Dr. Bill Kent said.

Recently, Heart2Heart partnered with the Dr. Bill Kent Family Foundation to create the Heart2Heart C.A.R.E. Scholarship Fund for deserving high school seniors. The first three winners – awarded $1,500, $1,000 and $500, respectively – were announced in June.

Tickets are now on sale for Heart2Heart’s RED Gala on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at The Venue Fort Lauderdale, 2345 Wilton Drive. Attendance is limited to 150 guests. The event will include an online auction of prizes.

About Heart2Heart Outreach of South Florida

Since 2010, Heart2Heart has matched hundreds of volunteers to senior residents in over 50 care centers in South Florida. These committed passionate volunteers have made an incredible difference in the lives of thousands of senior citizens who would otherwise have gotten little or no visits from family and friends. In 2018, Heart2Heart launched its innovative C.A.R.E. strategy (Connect, Advocate, Respond and Engage) to respond to a growing need within the aging community.

Currently, Heart2Heart volunteers reach the aging community through in-person visitations, care package and grocery deliveries, phone calls and video chats via donated tablets. For more information, visit www.heart2heartoutreach.org.
